Big Fluffy Flakes are now falling in Niseko


We have light snow and winds forecast with a partly sunny day ahead. 17 lifts are up and running with the bag jump scheduled to open around 11am. We should see a minimum temperature of -12 degrees with a top of -3. Going backcountry have required safety gear, dangers increase leading into spring. We may see a bit of snow here and there over the next few days with some bigger falls hopefully due later next week.

Spring snow conditions yesterday in Niseko however winters coming back. Temperatures and winds have dropped.

We may see some light snowfalls develope this morning with a possible clearing this afternoon.
16 lifts should be up and running with the bag jump scheduled to open around 11am. We love the Adventure Park and Didn't feel like a ski or board yesterday so checked out Hanazono in Niseko by snowmobile.

A change is due tomorrow which should see temperatures drop and a chance of some light snowfalls into Saturday.

Things have warmed up a little with temperatures around 2 degrees but just for a day. Around the mountain: An excellent cover of packed snow on the groomed. Adventure Park will open. Lifts are subject to changing wind conditions today, 25 km/hr this morning and gusting to 60 by this afternoon.

A pleasant morning with mild temperatures today and light snow forecast in Niseko

Winds should be around 5 to 25km/hr throughout the day and increasing into the evening.

Snow is forecast to start to fall again tonight in Niseko and possibly into tomorrow

An amazing day yesterday, imagine fresh snow above your knees and perfect bluebird skies.

The snow depth at Hanazono 3 in Niseko is now at 450cm...

Niseko in Japan has had over 12 metres of Powder already and they say that the peak gets around 18 metres a season.

Backcountry Tree Boarding in Niseko

Niseko is the second snowiest resort on the globe boasting 16m of annaul snowfall, the snow is dry and deep and provides some of the most exhilarating powder skiing and snowboarding experiences anywhere in the world. It is not unusual for guests to find themselves enveloped in snow, or as we say, “experiencing the White Room”, as they bounce their way down the slopes.

We have a 430cm Snow Depth at Hanazono 3 in Niseko Japan

NISEKO - its been dumping the white fluffy stuff most of yesterday. Conditions here are amazing at present.

Niseko had a great weekend again with fresh snow. 5 to 10cms overnight, 30cms in the past 24hrs

Westerly winds should range between 10 to 25km/hr.

The  Bag jump is setup just off Hanazono lift 1 at the bottom of  Stairway to Heaven in Hanazono Niseko.  Samara said that she had so much fun getting some crazy air onto the big bag of air...

Just went down and checked out the Hanazono Bag Jump in Niseko Japan

Hanazono Stomping Ground is excited about the opening today of the new BAGJUMP at the bottom of Stairway to Heaven.. Its A 15m x 15m cushion of air and you can get some crazy AIR. Make sure you bring your Helmet and if you ski... No Poles.... Just jump on Hanazono lift 1 and head straight down Stairway to Heaven in Hanazono Niseko. Go past the Half pipe and its about 100 metres past the entrance to the Stomping Ground. Check it out its so so much fun..

Snow started to fall early this morning in Niseko and we have seen 10cms since here at the base.

Its currently -1 degrees and - 7 up top.  Most lifts are up and running butthere is quite abit of wind up top so we will see some lifts on hold. The Bag has just now arrived at Hanazono and will  be ready within the next a couple of days... Crazy deep pow and Crazy high air..

A consistent fall of fresh snow this week, overnight we had another 15cms at the base in Niseko

Its currently -15 degrees C with wind chill down to -27 up top today.
Adventure Park activities are open. 17 lifts are up and running in Hanazono/Hirafu with some top lifts possibly closing later due to wind gusts. Northerly winds tending northwesterly are forecast to be around 25km/hr and reaching 45 later in the day. Gates and Terrain Park open around 10am. Going back country ensure you have required avalanche safety gear.

We only had another 20cms here overnight. Fresh powder nearly everyday. It's going to be deep off piste.

17 lifts should be spinning through the day.
Wind chill is down to - 35 degrees with a day time high of - 12.
Westerly winds should be around 20 to 35km/hr.

Winds are forecast to increase on Friday.  Snow should keep falling for the remainder of the week with temperatures staying below -13 and -20 up top.

It was a brilliant weekend in Niseko, events and fresh turns in the sun yesterday

We had over 10cms overnight at the base with plenty more falling up top.  Around the mountain: Adventure Park activities are open. Most lifts should be up and running with gates and Terrain Park opening around 10am. Wind chill is down to -26 with a top of -8 degrees. West northwesterly winds should be around 20 to 30km/hr.
Snow and extremely cold temperatures are expected over the next couple of days making for good dry powder falls.
